The Girl with the rose-colored Eyes
Book by Amber Delaluz
Lyrics by Sam Rosenblatt
Music by Elspeth Collard
Three magical dolls tell us a story about the fractured friendship between a conservative white doll maker and a liberal Black doll shop owner. Set against the backdrop of the 1968 Women’s Protests in San Francisco, The Girl with the Rose-Colored Eyes is a queer, feminist exploration of overcoming the quotidian constraints we place on ourselves, others, and society in order to better understand the ever dynamic world we live in.
